On Dec 2-2011, a Hindi movie, titled The Dirty Picture, was released in India. This was produced by Ekta Kapoor and Directed by Milan Luthria. The stars in main lead were, Vidya Balan, Naseerudin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor. This film was based on the life of Silk Smitha, an indian artist, which was known for her erotic roles in late 70's and 80's. Vidya played the role of Silk, and she really did well.
